Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Heritage Christian walked away with it. They skirted past the St. Joseph Catholic Eagles 44-41. The victory was just business as usual for Heritage Christian, who after 12 games remain undefeated this season.

St. Joseph Catholic lost on Friday despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Peter Najvar, who picked up 54 receiving yards and one touchdown, and also rushed for 40 yards and one touchdown. Najvar also put in work on the defensive side of the ball, making 15 total tackles and defending one pass. Aidan Cruz was another key passer, throwing for 200 yards and two touchdowns.

Heritage Christian's win bumped their record up to 12-0. As for St. Joseph Catholic, they moved to 6-6 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

Heritage Christian has already played their next match, a 52-12 defeat against Wichita Christian on the 5th. St. Joseph Catholic does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
