Basketball Game Preview: Fennville Blackhawks vs. Martin Clippers

Fennville hasn't had much luck against Martin recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Fennville Blackhawks will head out to face off against the Martin Clippers at 7:00 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Last Tuesday, Fennville took a blow against Saugatuck, falling 55-20. While losing is never fun, the Blackhawks can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 509th in Michigan, while the Trailblazers are ranked 72nd in Michigan).

Meanwhile, Martin came up short against Potter's House Christian on Tuesday and fell 51-41. The Clippers have struggled against the Pumas recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

Fennville's loss dropped their record down to 8-11. As for Martin, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-12.

Fennville suffered a grim 45-19 defeat to Martin when the teams last played back in February of 2022. Can Fennville avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
