After losing to Oscar Smith the last time they met, Western Branch decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Western Branch Bruins managed a 41-35 victory over the Oscar Smith Tigers on Tuesday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Bruins.

Despite the defeat, Oscar Smith saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Zyonna Ellis dropped a double-double on 12 points and 13 boards. Ellis is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last ten games she's played. Mckenzie Reid was another key player, putting up two points and three steals.

Western Branch is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matches, which provided a nice bump to their 8-2 record this season. As for Oscar Smith, they now have a losing record at 6-7.
