Basketball Game Preview: Port Allen Pelicans vs. University Lab Cubs

Port Allen hasn't had much luck against University Lab recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Port Allen Pelicans will take on the University Lab Cubs at 5:00 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.

Port Allen is headed into Friday's match looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fourth straight game on Tuesday. They were three points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 67-64 heartbreaker at the hands of North Central.

Meanwhile, University Lab was just a bucket shy of victory on Tuesday and fell 53-52 to East Ascension.

University Lab's defeat dropped their record down to 11-7. As for Port Allen, their loss dropped their record down to 12-11.

Port Allen came up short against University Lab in their previous matchup back in January of 2024, falling 56-47. Can Port Allen avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
