Football Game Preview: Pahoa vs. Kohala

Pahoa have had a week off and are no doubt ready to get back on the field. They will look to defend their home turf on Saturday against Kohala at 1:00 PM. If you head out to watch the game, expect to stay the whole 48 minutes: the MaxPreps rankings predict a close match.

After soaring high against Kohala three weeks ago, Icarus fell to the ground two weeks ago. Pahoa came up short against Ka'u, falling 6-20.

Meanwhile, Kohala found themselves the reluctant recipients of an unpleasant 6-30 punch to the gut against Ka'u last week. This makes it the second defeat in a row for Kohala.

Given their recent losses, both teams have a little extra motivation heading into this weekend. Neither of those teams managed to put together many points in their previous matchup, so their meeting could be a low-scoring affair.
