Softball Recap: Pine Forest Takes a Loss

If Pine Forest was riding high fresh off their 18-1 takedown of Westover last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Pine Forest Trojans lost 14-4 to the St. Pauls Bulldogs on Thursday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Trojans of the 8-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in February of 2024.

Savannah Winstead made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs and one triple. Gracie Miller was another key player, going 1-for-2 with three RBI and one triple.

Pine Forest now has a losing record of 1-2. As for St. Pauls, the win got them back to even at 2-2.

Looking ahead, Pine Forest will be playing in front of their home fans against Westover at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for St. Pauls, they will head out to face off against Whiteville at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
