Softball Recap: Mart Comes Up Short

Mart's tournament run continued when they took on Joaquin on Saturday. The Mart Panthers lost 9-1 to the Joaquin Rams. The match marked the Panthers' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Mart saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Harley Desmuke, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one double and one RBI.

Mart's defeat dropped their record down to 7-6. As for Joaquin, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 6-2.

Looking ahead, Mart will square off against Bosqueville at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Joaquin, they will take on Normangee in a tournament on Saturday. Joaquin is facing Normangee at the right time seeing as Normangee is stuck on a six-game losing streak.
