Recap: New Richmond Lions vs. Clermont Northeastern Rockets        
        
		
            
 If the New Richmond Lions were feeling good  off their  49-18 takedown of the Shroder Paideia Academy Jaguars two weeks ago, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. New Richmond took a  43-34 hit to the loss column at the hands of Clermont Northeastern on Thursday. New Richmond has not had much luck with Clermont Northeastern recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
 New Richmond's loss  came despite strong showings from  Madison Steelman and  Kiera Kirk.  Steelman  scored 14 points along with five  rebounds, while  Kirk  scored five points along with 16  rebounds and seven  steals. Those 14 points set a new season-high mark for her. Another player making a difference was  Sydney Miller, who  scored five points along with seven  rebounds.
 Even though they lost, New Richmond  were smashing the offensive glass and  finished the game with 23  offensive rebounds. That's the most  offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
 New Richmond has  been struggling recently, as they've  lost four of their last five games,  which put a noticeable dent in their 3-8 record this season. As for Clermont Northeastern, their win  ended a five-game drought on the road  and  puts them at 3-8.
 New Richmond will  square off against Western Brown at 7:00  p.m.  on Monday. As for Clermont Northeastern, they will look to defend their home court  on Monday against Cincinnati Hills Christian Academy at 7:30  p.m. Cincinnati Hills Christian Academy presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Clermont Northeastern in Ohio (Cincinnati Hills Christian Academy is ranked 328th, while Clermont Northeastern is ranked 685th).
