Volleyball Recap: Oak Mountain Academy Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Oak Mountain Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of LaGrange Academy. The Warriors were not able to make up for their loss to LaGrange Academy from their previous meeting back in September of 2024.

In a back-and-forth that saw neither team win consecutive sets, Oak Mountain Academy sadly dropped the once that decided the match. The match finished with set scores of 25-14, 23-25, 25-22, 13-25, 17-15.

Keira Lea paced Oak Mountain Academy's offense, picking up 13 kills. Lea were helped by Catherine Rooks and Ella McWhorter, who contributed 13 assists each. Lea was also solid from the service line: she led the team with five aces.

Oak Mountain Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 2-10. As for LaGrange Academy, their win bumped their record up to 3-1.

Oak Mountain Academy didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 3-0 victory against Central Fellowship Christian Academy on the 26th. As for LaGrange Academy, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 2-0 loss against Dunwoody on the 23rd.
