Basketball Recap: Arlington Comes Up Short

Arlington was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 16th straight loss. They were beaten by the Howard Tigers 70-39. While losing is never fun, the Cardinals can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' South Dakota basketball rankings (they are ranked 143rd, while the Tigers are ranked 24th).

Arlington's defeat dropped their record down to 1-18. As for Howard, they pushed their record up to 14-5 with the win, which was their 13th straight at home dating back to last season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Arlington will host Clark/Willow Lake at 7:15 p.m. on February 28th. As for Howard, they will take on Canistota at 6:15 p.m. on Friday. Canistota will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Howard surely won't give up without a fight.
