Softball Recap: South Plantation Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for South Plantation, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Wednesday. They blew past the Pembroke Pines Charter Jaguars 11-4 on Thursday. Considering the Paladins have won six matchups by more than six runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Grace Boehly was incredible, going 3-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and two RBI. Tessa Bertsch was another key player, going 1-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: South Plantation kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Pembroke Pines Charter only managed six hits.

South Plantation is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 8-11 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.3 runs over those games. As for Pembroke Pines Charter, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-13.

Coincidentally, South Plantation and Pembroke Pines Charter will both be playing Monarch the next time they take the field. The Jaguars will host the Knights at 5:00 p.m. on Friday, while the Paladins will host them at 3:45 p.m. on Tuesday.
