Volleyball Recap: Central Carolina Academy Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Central Carolina Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their tenth straight loss. They came up short against the Clover Garden School Grizzlies, falling 3-0. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Grizzlies this season, with their most recent defeat being a 3-0 loss last Friday.

Central Carolina Academy was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the second set very close. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-10, 25-23, 25-19.

Clover Garden School was led to victory by Hanna Tickle and Chloe Welch. Tickle had three digs and three aces, while Welch had nine digs and two aces. Tickle is also on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 20 or more in each of the last eight games she's played.

Central Carolina Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 1-19. As for Clover Garden School, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 12 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-6 record this season.

Central Carolina Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Clover Garden School, they will host Chatham Charter at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
