Volleyball Recap: Wiley Takes a Loss

Wiley lost against South Baca [Campo/Vilas/Pritchett] back in September and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Panthers fell 3-1 to the Patriots.

The match finished with set scores of 25-15, 25-17, 24-26, 25-16.

Lylah Reinhardt paced Wiley's offense, picking up nine kills. Reinhardt got some help from Jacee Kravig and her ten assists. Reinhardt was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

South Baca [Campo/Vilas/Pritchett] found their leader in freshman Brielle Bond, who had 14 digs and four aces. Bond has been hot recently, having posted two or more aces the last three times she's played.

Wiley's loss dropped their record down to 7-13. As for South Baca [Campo/Vilas/Pritchett], the victory was the 12th in a row for them, bringing their record up to 18-4.

Wiley wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 3-1 defeat against Genoa-Hugo/Karval on the 24th. As for South Baca [Campo/Vilas/Pritchett], they will square off against Walsh at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Patriots are facing the Eagles at the right time seeing as the Eagles are stuck on a 14-game losing streak.
