Preview: Graham vs. Vernon

Vernon fans better hope the squad plays one heck of a game on Friday as the odds are decidedly against them. They will take on Graham on the road at 7 p.m. ET. Vernon is hoping to patch up the holes in a defense that has allowed an average of 42.75 points per game.

It was all tied up at the half for the Lions and Krum last Friday, but the Lions stepped up in the second half. The Lions were able to grind out a solid win over Krum last week, winning 28-21.

Meanwhile, while not quite a landslide, the contest between Graham and Aubrey was still a pretty decisive one as the Steers wrapped it up with a 38-21 victory. Among those leading the charge for Graham was Matthew Lindquist, who caught six passes for 117 yards and two TDs. That receiving effort made it the first game that Lindquist has posted more than 100 yards receiving. Lindquist's sharp morning set his single-game touchdown high for the season.

Their wins bumped Vernon to 1-8 and Graham to 5-4. We'll see which team can carry over their success and which team inevitably falls when the Lions and the Steers clash.
