Basketball Recap: Oakhill Christian Snaps 12-Game Streak of Losses on the Road

Oakhill Christian can finally bid farewell to their five-game losing streak thanks to their game on Thursday. They secured a 52-47 W over the Berean Christian Kingsmen. The score was all tied up 22-22 at the break, but the Royals were the better team in the second half.

Oakhill Christian got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Isaac Vogel out in front who posted 20 points and six rebounds. Another player making a difference was Elijah Harman, who almost dropped a double-double on 11 points and nine boards.

Oakhill Christian's win ended a 12-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-7. As for Berean Christian, their defeat was their sixth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 1-6.

Oakhill Christian didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 70-43 loss against HRK on the 20th. As for Berean Christian, they will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Quentin Road Christian at 5:30 p.m. on January 7, 2025.
