Soccer Recap: Walpole Comes Up Short

Walpole came into their game on Thursday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against the Natick Redhawks, falling 6-2. While losing is never fun, Walpole can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Massachusetts soccer rankings (they are ranked 253rd, while Natick are ranked 17th).

Walpole has also been struggling recently as they've lost 11 of their last 12 matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-14 record this season. As for Natick, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-5 record this season.

Walpole will venture away from home to face off against Needham at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Natick, they will square off against Wellesley at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
