Football Preview: Warrior Run Defenders vs. Towanda Black Knights        
        
		
             The Warrior Run Defenders will face off against the Towanda Black Knights at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday. Both come into the  game bolstered by wins in their previous  matches.
 Warrior Run will bounce into Friday's   match after  beating Loyalsock Township, who they had gone 0-8 against in their eight prior meetings. Warrior Run strolled past Loyalsock Township with  points to spare on Friday, taking the game  21-7.
  Eli Butler was  his usual excellent self, rushing for 127 yards and three touchdowns. He also put in work on the defensive side of the ball, picking up  a  sack and making 11 total tackles.
 Another reason for the win was Warrior Run's imposing  defense, which managed to get into the backfield for five sacks. Leading the way was  Stone Allison with  three.
 Meanwhile, Towanda had already won five in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 33.4 points) and they went ahead and made it six on Friday. Everything went their way against the Panthers as they made off with  a  42-20 victory. The Black Knights might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven contests by 20  points or more this season.
 Towanda was unstoppable on the ground and  finished the game with 359  rushing yards. That's the most  rushing yards they've posted since back in August of 2023.
 Towanda didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of  Tahshon Garner and  Riley Vanderpool. Vanderpool also set a new season high mark in  rushing yards with 272. Towanda got some further help from  Sawyer Robinson: he picked up  three  sacks and made ten total tackles.
 Towanda's win was  their eighth straight at home dating back to last season, which  pushed their record up to 9-2. Those good results were due in large part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 10.4 points per game. As for Warrior Run, their record now sits at 7-4.
