Baseball Recap: Bishop Kenny's Losing Streak Snapped at Four Games

Bishop Kenny came into Thursday's matchup having lost four straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Richmond Hill Wildcats on Thursday, sneaking past 2-1.

Caleb Pasko spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered a run (which was unearned) on two hits.

At the plate, Bishop Kenny's win was truly a team effort as three different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Chase McLauchlin, who scored a run while going 2-for-3. Brock Mclamb also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.

Bishop Kenny's victory bumped their record up to 4-16. As for Richmond Hill, the loss snapped their winning streak at seven games and leaves them with a 16-8 record.

Looking ahead, Bishop Kenny will look to defend their home field on Friday against St. Joseph Academy at 6:00 p.m. The Crusaders' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Flashes have averaged an impressive 7.1 runs per game this season. As for Richmond Hill, they are taking a road trip to square off against Providence School at 3:30 p.m. on Friday.
