Softball Recap: Alliance Snaps Six-Game Streak of Losses on the Road

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Dalton, Alliance was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Firestone Falcons a 16-0 shutout. The Aviators' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Lily White made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, tossing two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. White was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-3.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Cheyenne Hendershot, who scored three runs while going 2-for-3. Lydia Clair was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-3.

Alliance's victory ended a six-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-2. As for Firestone, their loss dropped their record down to 1-2.

Looking ahead, Alliance will welcome Canton Central Catholic at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Firestone, they will venture away from home to square off against East at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
