Softball Recap: Springfield's Win on Friday Extends Winning Streak to Four

Springfield barely beat Bowling Green the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Blue Devils were the clear victors by an 8-2 margin over the Bobcats on Friday. The result was nothing new for the Blue Devils, who have now won 11 matchups by six runs or more so far this season.

The victory was the fourth in a row for Springfield, bringing their record up to 15-8. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.8 runs over those games. As for Bowling Green, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-12.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Springfield will challenge Anthony Wayne at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Bowling Green, they will square off against Wauseon at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
