Wake Forest gave up the first goal on Wednesday, but they didn't let that get them down. They had just enough and edged out the Wakefield Wolverines 3-2. The victory was nothing new for Wake Forest as they're now sitting on six straight.

Wake Forest's win was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 10-1-1. The road victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 26 goals over those five matches. As for Wakefield, they moved to 4-4-2 with that loss, which also ended their four-game winning streak.

Wake Forest and Wakefield will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next games. The next time the Cougars see the pitch they'll take on Rolesville at 5:00 p.m. on the 9th. As for Wakefield, their break will end when they face Heritage at 6:15 p.m. on the 9th.
