Volleyball Recap: Altoona Comes Up Short

Altoona was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat. They came up short against the Mechanicsburg Wildcats, falling 3-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Wildcats this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 on September 2nd.

The match finished with set scores of 25-15, 25-19, 25-18.

Altoona's loss dropped their record down to 0-9-1. As for Mechanicsburg, they pushed their record up to 7-1-1 with the victory, which was their third straight at home.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Altoona will challenge rival Cumberland Valley at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Mechanicsburg is set to face off against their familiar foe Chambersburg at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
