Softball Recap: Great Bridge Wildcats vs. Nansemond River Warriors
Great Bridge had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 5 runs) and they went ahead and made it four on Tuesday. Everything went their way against the Nansemond River Warriors as they made off with a 13-3 victory. The result was nothing new for the Wildcats, who have now won five contests by ten runs or more so far this season.
Bailey Bliven tossed a big game, striking out 11 batters over five innings while giving up three earned runs off three hits (and not a single walk). She has been consistent: she hasn't tossed less than seven strikeouts in five consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Madison Perry was incredible, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with four RBI, two runs, and two doubles. Those four RBI gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Cassie Kleier, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with three runs and one stolen base.
Great Bridge always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .606. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Nansemond River only posted an OBP of .167.
Great Bridge's win bumped their record up to 11-2. As for Nansemond River, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-7.
