Basketball Recap: Leander Comes Up Short

If Leander was riding high fresh off their 52-31 takedown of Glenn last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Leander Lions fell 46-39 to the Liberty Hill Panthers on Friday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Lions this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 37-35 back in January.

Leander's loss dropped their record down to 24-7. As for Liberty Hill, the win (which was their 15th in a row) raised their record to 28-5.

Leander and Liberty Hill should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings. Leander will challenge Hays at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday up 490 places (88 vs. 578). Leander will be looking to keep their six-game home win streak alive. Similarly, Liberty Hill (ranked 85th) will meet Rouse (ranked 202nd) at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
