Basketball Recap: Butte Central Catholic Extends Winning Streak to Three

Butte Central Catholic waltzed into their game on Saturday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Hamilton Broncs, sneaking past 58-55. That's two games straight that the Maroons have won by exactly three points.

Despite the loss, Hamilton still got an impressive performance from Canaan Magness, who went 11-for-18 en route to 27 points and six boards. Magness' evening made it seven games in a row in which he has scored at least 18 points. Another player making a difference was Tyler Jette, who posted seven points and 17 rebounds.

Butte Central Catholic's victory bumped their record up to 6-8. As for Hamilton, their loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 8-7.

Coming up, Butte Central Catholic will head out to take on Corvallis at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Hamilton, they will host Stevensville at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
