Washington Academy extended their postseason success on Tuesday against Dexter. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Tigers a 1-0 shutout. The victory was nothing new for the Raiders as they're now sitting on five straight.

Not much got past Trevor Shimabukuro, who gave up just six hits and racked up 11 Ks to keep Dexter off the board. Shimabukuro has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in four consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Washington Academy saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Daniel Gardner, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base.

Washington Academy's win bumped their record up to 17-2. As for Dexter, with the loss, they broke their six-game winning streak and moved their record to 13-7.

Looking ahead, Washington Academy will challenge Monmouth Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday. The Mustangs will roll in looking for their eighth straight victory, something the Raiders surely won't give up without a fight. Dexter does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
