Basketball Recap: Forestburg Takes Down Avery in a Playoff Battle

Forestburg extended their postseason success on Thursday against Avery. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Avery Bulldogs 73-36. The Longhorns have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 12 matches by 20 points or more this season.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Forestburg to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jesus Sanchez, who posted 24 points. Sanchez's evening made it four games in a row in which he has scored at least 16 points. Another player making a difference was Jesse Wadsworth, who earned 19 points.

The victory was the fourth in a row for Forestburg, bringing their record for this year to 23-6. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 39.5 points. As for Avery, their loss ended a seven-game streak of away wins and brought them to 24-13.

As of now, neither Forestburg nor Avery have any future games scheduled.
