Recap: Community Christian Warriors vs. Victory Baptist Academy Patriots
The Community Christian Warriors waltzed into their contest Tuesday with 12 straight wins but they left with 13. They really took it to Victory Baptist Academy for the full four quarters, racking up a 56-25 victory at home. The result was nothing new for Community Christian, who have now won ten contests by 20 points or more so far this season.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Community Christian to victory, but perhaps none more so than Price Horton, who scored 17 points along with five assists and five rebounds. Horton hasn't dropped below two steals for 12 straight games. Another player making a difference was Josiah Marquez, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 13 rebounds.
Despite the loss, Victory Baptist Academy still got an impressive performance from Isaac Johnson, who scored six points along with 12 rebounds. Johnson hasn't dropped below eight rebounds for nine straight games. Noah Burns was another key contributor, scoring two points.
Victory Baptist Academy struggled to work together and finished the game with only two assists. They were crushed by their opponents in that department as Community Christian racked up 13 assists.
Community Christian pushed their record up to 15-1 with that win, which was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season. They've been dominating during the contests in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 34.27 points. As for Victory Baptist Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-6.
Community Christian has the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome Weatherford Express HomeSchool at 7:00 p.m. on December 21st. Weatherford Express HomeSchool is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'. As for Victory Baptist Academy, they will head out on the road to face off against Ranger at 12:00 p.m. on Thursday.
