Softball Recap: East Webster Extends Winning Streak to Four

East Webster had already won three in a row and they went ahead and made it four on Tuesday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the French Camp Academy Panthers a 10-0 shutout. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 14-1 back in February.

Jasie Rae Flora was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching 3.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. What's more, she posted four strikeouts, the most she's had since back in February. She was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-3.

In other batting news, East Webster got a massive performance out of Faith Edwards, who went 1-for-2 with one home run and two runs. That home run was Edwards' first of the season. Alyssa McCoy was another key player, scoring two runs while going 2-for-3.

East Webster's win bumped their record up to 18-11. As for French Camp Academy, they have been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last ten games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-14 record this season.

As of now, neither East Webster nor French Camp Academy have any future games scheduled.
