Football Recap: Marietta Takes a Loss

Marietta lost against Crossings Christian back in September of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Indians took a 19-13 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Knights. While losing is never fun, the Indians can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma football rankings (they are ranked 246th, while the Knights are ranked 102nd).

Marietta's loss dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Crossings Christian, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Marietta will take on rival Washington at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Crossings Christian is set to square off against their familiar foe Little Axe at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
