Basketball Recap: Trinity Falls Despite Big Games from Ayden Debose and Terian Maxie

Trinity's tournament run continued when they took on Lago Vista on Friday. The Tigers took a 49-44 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Vikings. The contest marked the Tigers' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Trinity's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Terian Maxie, who shot 83% from the field on his way to 15 points, and Ayden DeBose, who went 6-for-15 en route to 16 points. Another player making a difference was Darryn Bass, who posted seven points.

Dylan Stovall continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Lago Vista, shooting 64% from the field to rack up 23 points. Stovall has been hot recently, having also posted two or more steals the last three times he's played. Hayden Moore was another key player, putting up nine points.

This is the second loss in a row for Trinity and nudges their season record down to 5-3. As for Lago Vista, their record now sits at 3-4.

Trinity didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 60-42 win against Cumberland Academy on the 5th. As for Lago Vista, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 61-55 defeat against LaPoynor on the 5th.
