Basketball Recap: Charter Oak Chargers vs. Wilson Wildcats
Charter Oak was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their tenth straight defeat. They had to suffer through a 67-39 loss at the hands of the Wilson Wildcats. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Chargers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 68-59 back in January.
Wilson got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Josiah Lewis out in front who posted eight points along with ten rebounds and five steals. Wilson is 4-1 when Lewis posts ten or more boards, but 9-10 otherwise. Tyler Wong was another key player, going 7 of 15 en route to 18 points in addition to five rebounds and three steals.
Charter Oak's loss dropped their record down to 3-17. As for Wilson, their victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-11.
Charter Oak has already played their next matchup, a 35-33 win against Northview on the 28th. As for Wilson, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 46-39 defeat against Rowland on the 28th.
