Soccer Recap: The Oakwood School Takes a Loss

Fans were treated to a battle of the Eagles on Wednesday. The Oakwood School came up short against Rocky Mount Academy, falling 7-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against Rocky Mount Academy this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 8-0 on March 3rd.

The Oakwood School's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2-1. As for Rocky Mount Academy, the win keeps them at an undefeated 8-0.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. The Oakwood School will host Halifax Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Oakwood School's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for three straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end. As for Rocky Mount Academy, they will take on Kerr-Vance Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Rocky Mount Academy is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 6.5 goals per game this season.
