Recap: Drew vs. North Atlanta Warriors
This season hasn't been kind to Drew, who are still winless after their sixth matchup. They were dealt a 64-8 loss at the hands of North Atlanta on Tuesday. While losing is never fun, Drew can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 430th, while North Atlanta is ranked 213th).
North Atlanta's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Madeline Acton led the charge by scoring 14 points. Jade Gamory was another key contributor, scoring 13 points.
Drew's defeat was their third straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 0-6. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 16.7 points per game. As for North Atlanta, the win got them back to even at 3-3.
Drew will be playing at home against Coretta Scott King YWLA at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for North Atlanta, they will head out on the road to face off against Westminster at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
