Softball Recap: Peabody Veterans Memorial Comes Up Short

Marblehead hit Peabody Veterans Memorial with a five-run seventh inning on Wednesday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Tanners took a 10-7 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Magicians. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Magicians this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 7-4 back in April.

Peabody Veterans Memorial now has a losing record of 6-7. As for Marblehead, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Peabody Veterans Memorial will challenge Swampscott at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Marblehead, they will face off against Gloucester at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
