Softball Recap: Byron-Bergen Has No Trouble Against Perry

Byron-Bergen picked up another tournament win on Saturday. Everything went their way against the Perry Yellowjackets as they made off with a 20-13 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Bees.

Byron-Bergen got a massive performance out of Natalie Prinzi, who went 5-for-6 with four stolen bases, four runs, and one triple. Those four stolen bases gave Prinzi a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Janessa Amesbury, who got on base in four of her five plate appearances with three stolen bases, four runs, and two RBI.

Byron-Bergen was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .405. They are a perfect 3-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

Byron-Bergen now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Perry, they are on a 12-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-6.

Byron-Bergen has already played their next contest, a 19-7 loss against Elba on the 28th. As for Perry, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next matchup, a 12-3 defeat against Letchworth on the 30th.
