Basketball Recap: Belle Chasse Falls Despite Big Games from Kaedynce Cooks and Makenzie Salvant

It was a proper cat-fight when Belle Chasse challenged Northshore on Tuesday. The Cardinals came up short against the Panthers, falling 53-32. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Cardinals of the 50-29 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in December of 2018.

Despite the defeat, Belle Chasse had strong showings from Makenzie Salvant, who shot 45% from the field to rack up 12 points, and Kaedynce Cooks, who posted ten points.

Belle Chasse's loss dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Northshore, they pushed their record up to 5-2 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road.

Looking ahead, Belle Chasse will head out to square off against Salmen at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Cardinals' defense better be ready for this one: the Spartans have averaged an impressive 60 points per game this season. As for Northshore, they will face off against Archbishop Chapelle at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
