Basketball Recap: North Forrest Takes a Loss

North Forrest was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were four points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 46-42 heartbreaker at the hands of the Mize Bulldogs. The Eagles were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Bulldogs earlier this season, when they won 49-45.

North Forrest's loss dropped their record down to 12-14. As for Mize, their victory ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 20-10.

North Forrest and Mize could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Mississippi Rankings. North Forrest will challenge Bay Springs at 7:00 p.m. on Monday down 149 places (188 vs. 39). Meanwhile, Mize (ranked 149th) will meet Newton (ranked 47th) at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
