Soccer Game Preview: Central vs. Fairfax

The Central Bobcats will challenge the Fairfax Stampede at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Central's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for 11 straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Central fell victim to McClintock and their airtight defense on Tuesday. They came up short against the Chargers, falling 12-0.

Meanwhile, Fairfax also failed to score in their most recent game. They lost 5-0 to North on Tuesday.

Central's defeat dropped their record down to 0-11. As for Fairfax, their loss dropped their record down to 3-8.

Central skirted past Fairfax 1-0 in their previous meeting back in February of 2025. Will the Bobcats repeat their success, or do the Stampede have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
