Football Recap: Western Wayne Wildcats vs. Wyoming Area Warriors
Western Wayne was the 34-23 winner over Wyoming Area when they last played one another back in September, but their luck changed this time around. The Western Wayne Wildcats were just a hair shy of victory on Friday and fell 36-35 to the Wyoming Area Warriors.
Despite the loss, Western Wayne still got an impressive performance from Josh Vinton, who rushed for 289 yards and four touchdowns. Vinton's rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his third straight game with at least 150 rushing yards.
Even though they lost, Western Wayne was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 305 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 152 rushing yards in three consecutive matches.
It was another big night for Lidge Kellum, who rushed for 191 yards and five touchdowns for Wyoming Area.
