Basketball Game Preview: Indianapolis Shortridge Blue Devils vs. Indianapolis Washington Continentals

Two dominant guards in Elijah Wilson and Roosevelt Franklin are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The Indianapolis Shortridge Blue Devils will challenge the Indianapolis Washington Continentals at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Indianapolis Shortridge is coming into the game on a three-game losing streak.

Last Tuesday, Indianapolis Shortridge was beaten by Anderson 86-52. While losing is never fun, the Blue Devils can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 185th, while the Indians are ranked 19th).

Meanwhile, Indianapolis Washington had to suffer through a 74-44 loss at the hands of Lafayette Jefferson. The Continentals have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Indianapolis Shortridge's loss dropped their record down to 9-13. As for Indianapolis Washington, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-11.

Indianapolis Shortridge ended up a good deal behind Indianapolis Washington when the teams last played back in January of 2024, losing 64-49. Can Indianapolis Shortridge avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
