Football Recap: Waller Skates Past Cypress Lakes with Ease + How To Watch

Waller extended their winning streak to three on Thursday, bumping them up to 4-1. They blew past the Cypress Lakes Spartans 54-21. Considering the Bulldogs have won three contests by more than 32 points this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Waller didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Trace Geigley and David Brown Iii. Geigley is also crushing it when it comes to total tackles: he's made at least five every time he's taken the field this season.

As for Cypress Lakes, they now have a losing record of 2-3. The matchup marked their lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Defeat or not, Cypress Lakes got some senior leadership from Jimmy Alarcon and Cj Lewis. Alarcon threw for 198 yards and three touchdowns, while Lewis picked up 98 receiving yards and a pair of scores. Lewis was no stranger to the big play, cutting upfield on a catch that went for 67 yards.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Waller is set to square off against their familiar foe Cypress Ranch at 7:00 p.m. on the 10th. Meanwhile, Cypress Lakes will challenge rival Cypress Woods at 11:00 a.m. on the 11th. That contest will pit two of the most dominant signal callers against one another: Alarcon and Darien Rogers.
