Basketball Recap: Westwood Christian Comes Up Short

Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Westwood Christian couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They fell to the Atlantic Christian Sharks 49-45. The Warriors were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Sharks apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in January of 2017.

Atlantic Christian was led to victory by Kordell Louis Jean and Javian Cleveland. Louis Jean went 5-for-8 on his way to 13 points and six boards, while Cleveland went 6-for-9 en route to 15 points. What's more, Cleveland also posted a 67% shooting accuracy, which is the highest he's achieved since back in December of 2024.

Westwood Christian's loss dropped their record down to 16-8. As for Atlantic Christian, the victory was the 11th in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 25-2.

Westwood Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Atlantic Christian, they will face off against Sagemont at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. One thing working in Sagemont's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last 11 matches.
