Basketball Recap: Champlin Park Gets the Win

Champlin Park hadn't done well against Park Center recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Wednesday. The Champlin Park Rebels narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Park Center Pirates 65-63. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Rebels have posted since February 21, 2024.

Champlin Park is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 10-3 record this season. As for Park Center, with the loss, they broke their five-game winning streak and moved their record to 7-8.

Champlin Park and Park Center should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Minnesota Rankings. Champlin Park (ranked 30th) will meet Southwest Christian (ranked 140th) at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Park Center will challenge Coon Rapids at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday up 146 places (111 vs. 257).
