It was fun while it lasted, but Mariner's undefeated season came to an end after 15 games on Thursday. They fell just short of the Steinbrenner Warriors by a score of 2-1. The loss put an end to the Tritons' undefeated start to the season.

Their goal came courtesy of Neil Zela, who's now up to eight this season.

Having lost for the first time this season, Mariner fell to 15-1. As for Steinbrenner, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 8-3-1.

Mariner will head out on the road to challenge River Ridge at 3:00 p.m. on Friday. Mariner is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 3.9 goals per game this season. As for Steinbrenner, they will welcome Miami Beach at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Steinbrenner also hasn't been messing around on offense: they've averaged 3.7 goals per game.
