Volleyball Recap: Wheatmore Comes Up Short

Wheatmore was the 3-0 winner over West Davidson when they last played one another back in October of 2021, but their luck changed this time around. The Warriors lost 3-0 to the Dragons on Tuesday. The Warriors have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

The final score came out to 25-17, 25-14, 25-14.

Madeline Mullinix paced Wheatmore's offense, picking up nine kills. Mullinix got some help from Peyton McCauley and her 20 assists.

Wheatmore's loss was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 6-6. As for West Davidson, their victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 7-6.

Wheatmore didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 3-0 defeat against Providence Grove on the 18th. As for West Davidson, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against Trinity on the 18th.
