St. Anthony had already won 11 in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 29.2 points) and they went ahead and made it 12 on Thursday. They came within a single point of losing the streak, but they secured a 59-58 W against the Newton Eagles. This was payback for the Bulldogs, who suffered a 59-50 defeat the last time these two teams met.

St. Anthony pushed their record up to 25-4 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 65.3 points over those games. As for Newton, their loss dropped their record down to 19-7.
