Basketball Game Preview: West Orange-Stark Mustangs vs. Bridge City Cardinals

The West Orange-Stark Mustangs will take on the Bridge City Cardinals in a holiday battle at at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.

West Orange-Stark is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 69 points on Thursday, they were much more limited against La Marque on Friday. They were beaten by the Cougars 70-22. The contest marked the Mustangs' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Meanwhile, Bridge City beat Sabine Pass 41-31 on Friday. Given the Cardinals' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 221st, while the Sharks are ranked 1060th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

West Orange-Stark has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-7 record this season. As for Bridge City, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 13-4.

West Orange-Stark was able to grind out a solid win over Bridge City in their previous matchup back in February, winning 60-53. Does West Orange-Stark have another victory up their sleeve, or will Bridge City turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
