Softball Recap: Ludlow Has No Trouble Against Chicopee

Ludlow won the last time they faced Chicopee and things went their way on Monday too. The Lions blew past the Pacers 21-8. The result was nothing new for the Lions, who have now won five games by six runs or more so far this season.

The team relied heavily on Caitlyn Peczka, who went 3-for-5 with three runs, four RBI, and one triple. Those four RBI gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Kylie Roach, who went 3-for-4 with two runs and two RBI.

Ludlow's victory bumped their record up to 7-8. As for Chicopee, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-4 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Ludlow will face off against Easthampton/Hampshire at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Chicopee, they will challenge Hoosac Valley at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
