Basketball Recap: West Florence Knights vs. Spring Valley Vikings
West Florence was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They took a blow against the Spring Valley Vikings, falling 72-21. While losing is never fun, the Knights can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' South Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 163rd, while the Vikings are ranked 20th).

West Florence's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Danielle Davis, who posted three points and four steals, and Gabreille Gunter, who put up seven points. Those four steals gave Davis a new career-high.
Spring Valley was led to victory by Lauren Crosland and Zie'L Ratchford. Crosland went 7-for-14 to rack up 20 points and three steals, while Ratchford went 5-for-10 en route to 11 points along with six rebounds and five assists.
